A Bird’s-Eye View
This is Buhemba from a bird’s-eye view, with beautiful views of nature. Buhemba lies 1,520 metres above sea level. Mornings can be very cold, while daytime temperatures reach 35 degrees Celsius or more. The air is dry, so it is easy to breathe and go about the day comfortably. There is another stereotype about Africa we need to challenge, or perhaps clarify. In terms of the colour of the earth, this is a red continent rather than a black one. Perhaps it is called the black continent because of the skin colour of its inhabitants. Either way, the reddish-black earth looks beautiful.
